that not the engine pump and has nothing to do with the engine that's the heater core pump. it just push's the hot water inside the cabin. i don't know why his talking about dead engine and by the way, you can by-pass it and you will still have hot water in the core

If you have VVDI 2 or Key tool plus, could you remove dash, do service mode?read original eeprom 24C32, prepare service eeprom and write service eeprom to dump and write original 24C32 back to car via OBD, would you not be able to get IMMO data, CS code and PIN???? OMG!!!! As simple as that! I’m just about to try this on my Astra Twintop and see if this works! I have Keyless Entry and Start and for the last couple of weeks, the central locking has worked fine, but I couldn’t start the car as the steering lock wouldn’t release! Now, the steering lock does release and the car starts, BUT, now it won’t lock! I recon it could be this same issue! I shall try and report back!
